Training courses, required and optional, are now based on the user's role as designated by the Admin. Click here to see administration details.

  1. There are six new standard courses. Click here for details.
    1. (Level 1) Playbook for Read-Only Users
    2. (Level 2) Playbook for Casual Team Members
    3. (Level 3) Playbook for Core Team Members
    4. (Level 4) Playbook for Summary Owners
    5. (Level 5) Playbook for Project Leaders
    6. Playbook for Managers


  2. There are also four new courses to advance to a higher level. These should be taken only after the required standard course has been completed as they are incremental in nature. For example, if you have completed the "Playbook for Casual Team Members" course and you want to advance to the Summary Owner level, you have to complete the "Advance to Core Team Member" course first before starting the "Advance to Summary Owner" course.

    3. (Level 3⭢4) Advance to Summary Owner
    4. (Level 4⭢5) Advance to Project Leader

  • Assess loading of the resources they utilize and bring overloads to Project Leader’s attention

  • Manage trade-offs across disciplines and workstreams to minimize delays and get the best value for the customer
  • Monitor threats to critical chain, impacts to buffers, & captures impact reasons
  • Lead Rolling Wave Planning meetings
  • Manage resource loading to ensure timelines are reasonable and resources are not overloaded
  • Manage reports & buffer charts - provides updates to stakeholders

  •  Lead the organizational change to Playbook Methods by demonstrating in-depth knowledge and by demonstrating their adaptability to the new way of working
  • Skills such as assessing team health, removing organizational impediments, making room for failure, and being able to coach are key (especially for teams and individuals new to Playbook Methods)
  • Define the mission and vision for teams, recruit talent, and help them achieve their highest potential
